According to the Meteorological Department, with the knock of monsoon, heavy rains are likely in the eastern and western areas of UP on June 19 and 20.

Warning of heavy rain in 13 districts

According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, with the entry of monsoon in UP, 13 districts of Terai including Southern parts Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and Varanasi may receive heavy rainfall. At the same time, an orange alert has been issued in 22 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh. The weather will be happy due to rain. Due to which the blows of the scorching heat will be relieved by the bustle winds in the districts of Banda, Chitrakoot, Kaushambi and Prayagraj districts.

Senior scientist Atul Kumar Singh of Zonal Meteorological Center Lucknow said that on June 19 and 20, various areas of Uttar Pradesh are expected to receive moderate to heavy rains. The low pressure areas being built in the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea will merge with each other in the next two-three days. After which the phase of monsoon rain will begin. Starting from Terai and eastern UP, Bundelkhand including southern and central UP will also make Manusani rains. This rainfall of rain will continue for the next four-five days.

Possibility of heavy rains in these districts

Heavy rains are being indicated by the Meteorological Department in Varanasi, Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Siddharth Nagar, Balrampur, Shravasti, Chandauli, Ballia, Deoria, Kushinagar, Maharajganj and surrounding areas.

Orange alert of thunderstorms

At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in Uttar Pradesh’s Ballia, Deoria, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar, Gonda, Mau, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Prayagraj, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bahraich Chandauli, Varanasi, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Balrampur, Shravasti and surrounding areas.
