“You also want BMW and one crore every month?”

The woman appeared in the court without any lawyer and said in a confident voice, “I want a flat with a Mumbai and a living allowance of ₹ 12 crore.” Hearing this, Justice Gawai first confirmed the woman’s demand and then smiled and said, “Your marriage lasted only 18 months and now you want one crore rupees per month? Need a BMW from above?” The confidence with which this demand of the woman came with shocked the court for a while. Justice Gawai expressed surprise that the house you are talking about is in Kalpataru building which is one of the most expensive real estate projects in Mumbai.

“You are an IT expert MBA, why don’t you do a job?”

It was also revealed in the court that the woman is not an ordinary educated. She is an IT expert and has done MBA. On this, the CJI straightened the question “You are so capable, then why don’t you do the job?” The woman said in response that her husband is very rich and has applied for divorce saying that he is suffering from schizophrenia. On this, the woman asked the court directly, “My Lord Do I look suffering from schizophrenia?”

“You have no claim on father -in -law’s property”

Senior Advocate Madhavi Dewan, who appeared in court on behalf of her husband, said in two words that a woman cannot demand everything in this way. She said that the flat in which the woman is living has two cars parking, which she can also earn by renting. CJI agreed to this, saying that every inch space in Mumbai is priced. He further said that “You cannot claim the property of the father -in -law. Your demands seem to be excessive.”

“BMW is 10 years old junk”

Another shocking comment came in court on the BMW car sought by the woman. The husband’s lawyer said that “the BMW that the woman is talking about is 10 years old and is now junk.” To this, the court said, “Either you take a flat without money or get nothing. Your marriage lasted 18 months and you are demanding crores every month.” The court suggested that if the woman wants, find a job with Rs 4 crore, it will be more practical.

“Who will give an FIR against me?”

When the woman told the court that there is an FIR against her, it is difficult to get a job, the CJI assured them, “If needed, we will also cancel the FIR but you are educated, you should trust yourself. You should think of earning yourself.”

“My husband bought your lawyer”

Another drama took place during the hearing when the woman said in court, “My husband has impressed my lawyer.” On this, the CJI expressed surprise and asked, “You are saying that your husband bought your own lawyer?” The court finally said that he is now reserving his order on this whole matter and the verdict will be pronounced soon. Now everyone’s eyes are on the decision of this historic case. The question is whether the court will consider the demand of crores of women to be valid or will she show her the path of self -sufficiency? The answer will be found soon, but one thing is certain that this case has made it to the most unique divorce cases of India.
