Varanasi News: The 56th Prakatyotsav of Dharmadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swamishri Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati Maharaj of Uttarayanay Jyotishpeeth was celebrated with devotion and gaiety in Kashi, Mumbai and many other parts of the country. The event became a symbol of faith and dedication towards the conservation of religion and culture.
A huge crowd of devotees and saints started gathering at Srividyamath in Kedarghat in Kashi. The event began with Rudrabhishek and Lilatin, led by Acharya Vinay Bhushan Tiwari, Shivakant Mishra, Anurag Pandey, Rajan Tiwari and Rohit Dubey. After this, Shankaracharya’s Charan Paduka was worshiped methodically. Along with this, Bhajan, Kirtan and Grand Bhandare continued throughout the day, in which devotees received offerings.
Sanjay Pandey, an aide of Shankaracharya Ji Maharaj, informed that Maharajashree is currently observing Chaturmas fast in Mumbai. Thousands of devotees from India and abroad reached Mumbai on this special occasion, including a large number of saints and followers from Kashi.
The festival began with Shehnai playing in Mumbai. After this, Gaudhwaj was represented by Shankaracharya and Batukas were donated. Then Gaupujan took place and the eight feet high Deity of Adya Shankaracharya was unveiled.
In this unique event, Maharajashree was worshiped and offered flowers by 56 girls and 56 mother -in -law. After this, five items like Rabri, Malpua, Rice and Peda were completed. Aarti by 11 mothers, Maharajashree was taken on stage, where scholars from various regions including Kashi greeted them.
In this grand ceremony, the famous Bhajan singers – Udit Narayan, Suresh Wadekar and Anuradha Paudwal presented devotional music and immersed the atmosphere in spiritual juice.
Dr. Girish Chandra Tiwari, Ramesh Pandey, Dipendra Singh, Savitri Pandey, Lata Pandey and hundreds of devotees were present in Kashi.
