Ahmedabad . The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has started investigation of Ahmedabad Plane Crash. This afternoon, Air India flight AI-171 crashed shortly after flying.

The DGCA spokesperson said, “No definite reason for the accident at this time has been known. A detailed investigation has been started.” He further said that all the concerned agencies are involved in this investigation. According to the information, Air India aircraft Boeing 787 Dreamliner flew from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on the runway 23 to 13.39 ISP. Shortly thereafter, the Made Call was released, but no other communication was received from the cockpit. The aircraft was operated by Captain Sumit Sabharwal, which has been a long -time pilot of Air India and had more than 8,200 flight hours of experience. At the same time, first officer Clive Kunder flew 1,100 hours.

At the time of the accident, there were 242 people on the plane, including 230 passengers, 10 cabin crew and two pilots. According to the statement of the DGCA, emergency services were immediately sent and rescue operations are still going on. The aircraft crashed outside the airport border, which suggests that it could not climb properly after flying.

According to the information, DGCA officials are collecting flight data, voice recording and statements of witnesses under investigation. It is one of the most serious aviation accidents in India in recent years which includes wide-bodies aircraft. Officials have not yet released information about casualties or surviving people.
