Meerut News: The administration has once again been questioned for illegal construction in Meerut. Aam Aadmi Party state spokesperson and district president Ankush Chaudhary has written a letter to the Vice President of Meerut Development Authority (MDA) alleging that despite the clear instructions of the Supreme Court and the High Court, the builders and developers are doing construction work without taking the sanctioned map.
In the letter, he cited the orders of the High Court (suit number 46342/2013, dated 5 December 2014) and the Supreme Court (suit number 14605/2024, dated 17 December 2024), saying that public performance of maps sanctioned from MDA is mandatory at every construction site. Also, it is the responsibility of the authorities of the authority to conform to that map.
These four places are examples of open violations of rules
In the letter, Ankush Chaudhary has mentioned four prominent places of Meerut, where construction work is going on without approved map:
Colony construction by Satish Mavi behind Mawana Road, Translam School
Construction of people associated with Health Care Imaging Center in front of Shivaji Road, Shankar Ashram
Construction of Time Singh Saini near Garh Road, Hyundai Sumandra showroom
Construction work near Tanya Maruti showroom, Loyal Book Depot
Ankush Chaudhary has demanded that the MDA issue an order to display the sanctioned map at all these construction sites, constitute a high -level investigation team, demolish illegal construction and take strict action against the officers who violate the court orders. He has warned that if action is not taken soon, he will turn to the court to file a contempt petition.
