Uttar pradesh green policy: The Uttar Pradesh government has agreed to the ‘Urban Green Policy’, taking a major and important step to increase urban greenery. This policy, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, will not only become a means of environmental protection, but will also work on the way to get them ‘ultimat Green City Award’ through the Green Ranking System of cities.
Green policy will be applicable in three phases
This policy will be implemented across the state by 2030 in three phases. The first phase (2025–27) will cover the smart city and major metros. In the second phase (2027-30), the work of connecting cities with more than 1 lakh population and in the third phase will also be added to all municipalities and nagar panchayats.
Construction of ‘Miawaki Jungle and Wartical Garden’ in urban area
Cities will be built thick mini-one with Miawaki technology. Along with this, work started on the plan to construct vertical garden, rooftop garden, green belt, sponge park, pockit park and community garden. With these efforts, by 2026, a target has been targeted to reduce the level of pollution in the cities of the state by 40%.
Community share and financial assistance
The share of schools, offices, organizations and general public has also been considered important in this scheme. People will be added by organizing a tree plantation campaign, green fair, workshops and festivals of flowers. Amrit 2.0, National Clean Air Program, State and Central Finance Commission schemes, CSR funds and income of municipal bodies will be used for funding.
Economic and social benefits from environment
This policy will only promote greenery positively in greenery, but through it, there will also be benefits like safety sports site, environmental education and increase in property prices. Energy will be saved and the quality of life will be better.
