Gonda news: Gonda, 8 July 2025: A case has been registered against the four accused on the order of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gonda in a sensational case of land forgery and grab in Kotwali Karnailganj in Gonda district.

Geeta Devi, a resident of Bamdera police station Katra Bazar, has accused Nashnta, Magan Bihari, Thakur Prasad and Krishna Mohan of grabbing their land through fraudulent documents. The case is related to the land of Gata number 622/2.8980 hectare (7.16 acres) located in village Sarvagpur, Thana Katra Bazar.

What is the whole matter?

According to Geeta Devi, the land of her mother Shyama Devi alias Jayanti Devi was divided under a trial in the court of Additional District Judge Gonda. Based on the agreement, Shyama Devi got 1 acre, while Geeta Devi and her sisters Chandraprabha, Lalli Devi and Nirajali got equal share in the remaining land.

Nirajali sold 0.40 decimal land from his share to cultivation. After his death, 1.14 acres of land remained, his three sons Nashnt, Vijay Kumar and Pradeep Kumar, Bunty, i.e., each got 38 decimals.

It is alleged that Nashnta, more than his share (0.38 decimals), ie 60 decimals of land, was named after Magan Bihari on 5 April 2025. In this, the seller made 0.22 decimal more land deeds from his share.

Administrative Inaction and Court order

Geeta Devi complained to the top officials of the district administration and the police, but no action was taken. In response, the accused wrote a purification letter on 15 April 2025 in Tehsil Colonelganj, with a banama of 0.47 (0.09 decimal more) instead of 0.38 decimals. Geeta Devi, calling it dishonest and illegal, complained to Superintendent of Police Gonda on 19 May 2025, registered post and person, but no action was taken.

Finally, Geeta Devi filed an application before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, after which a case was filed in Kotwali Karnailganj on the court’s order.

Identification and criminal background of the accused

The police has started investigating the case.

It is said that the buyer Magan Bihari Tiwari is posted in the Income Tax Department and has already committed fraud on the strength of his influence. At the same time, witness Thakur Prasad Tiwari is also accused of getting the land of an elderly land of Sarvangpur in the name of getting pension.
