Pithoragarh: A painful road accident occurred in the Muvani area of Pithoragarh District of Uttarakhand (Uttarakhand). A Max Jeep filled with passengers fell uncontrollably on the Thal-Pithoragarh motorway and fell into a deep ditch. In the accident, 8 people died on the spot, while 3 people were seriously injured. Police, revenue department and disaster management teams reached the spot as soon as the accident was reported. Rescue operation was started with the help of local villagers and the injured were removed from the ditch and sent to the nearest hospital for treatment.

It is being told that the crashed jeep was going from Muvani towards Bokta village. After the accident, weeds have been mourned in the entire area. The district administration has ordered an inquiry into the accident, while the situation of the injured is constantly being monitored.

A detailed inquiry has been ordered to find out the cause of the incident. At present, how the jeep fell into the ditch is being ascertained.
