Bandra chawl colpse: The three -storey chawl collapsed in Mumbai’s western suburb Bandra in the early hours of Friday. In this accident, at least 10 people are being afraid of getting caught in the rubble. Municipal officials gave this information. According to officials, till now seven people have been removed from the rubble and admitted to Bhabha Hospital. According to preliminary information, Chawl No. 37, located in Bharat Nagar area of Bandra East, fell at around 5.56 am. An official of the fire department said that eight fire engines are present on the spot along with the personnel of Mumbai Police and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. He said that rescue work is going on and further information is being awaited.

Six members of the same family died

Mumbai Police said that till now 12 people have been removed from the rubble and admitted to the nearest hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Initial investigations have revealed that there was a cylinder blast in the building, due to which parts of the building suddenly fell. After this accident, the fire department, Mumbai Police and BMC personnel are engaged in relief and rescue work on the spot. Another similar incident took place recently in the Welcome area of North-East Delhi. There too a building collapsed, in which six members of the same family were killed and eight others were injured. The police have registered a case of negligence in this case.

Painful incident of building collapse in Delhi

The incident in the welcoming area of Delhi included the owner of the building Abdul Matalub (50), his wife Rabia (46), son Javed (23), Abdullah (15), Beti Zubia (27) and two -year -old girl Fauzia. In addition, Parvez (32), Naved (19), Parvez’s wife Siza and his one-year-old son Ahmed as well as four other members of the neighboring family were injured. Police said an FIR has been registered in the case and investigation has been started. Police has formed several teams to investigate the matter. According to the police, the deceased family had a ‘dry cleaning’ business and recently came to live in this 20 -year -old building.
