New Delhi. A meeting was held at the residence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh (Rajnath Singh) on Friday before the monsoon session starting on July 21 of Parliament. Many Union Ministers including Home Minister Amit Shah, JP Nadda and Kiren Rijiju attended the meeting. This meeting was organized at the residence of the Defense Minister just before the all -party meeting to be held on Sunday.
The ministers are believed to have strategized the government’s stand on relevant issues, while the opposition is preparing to raise several issues including special intensive revision (SIR), Pahalgam attack and ‘Operation Sindoor’ in Bihar in the monsoon session of Parliament. Although no official comments have been made on the agenda of the meeting, sources said that it was related to the monsoon session.
Apart from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Health Minister Nadda and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Reijiju, their cabinet colleagues Piyush Goyal and G Kishan Reddy also attended the meeting. The opposition is demanding discussion on issues like special intensive revision (SIR) and ‘Operation Sindoor’ in Parliament.
BJP and its colleagues in Bihar have supported the SIR in the electoral state, saying that its purpose is to ensure that only eligible voters can vote in the assembly elections. Rajnath Singh usually presides over the all -party meeting. The monsoon session of Parliament will end on 21 August. Singh later held a separate meeting with the top defense officers. There are indications that he may make a statement in Parliament on ‘Operation Sindoor’.
