Etah News: Etah, Uttar Pradesh: The sensation spread in village Nagla Panchmpur Marharthara under the police station Kotwali countryside when the news of more than a dozen crocodiles was seen in an old pond located outside the village. As soon as this news spread among the villagers, a large number of people gathered on the spot. The possibility of more crocodiles in the pond created an atmosphere of fear and panic among the villagers.
As soon as the information was received, the forest department team reached the spot with the regional forest inspector Amit Kumar and the rescue team. Initial investigation confirmed the presence of four crocodiles, but according to eyewitness villagers, the number is said to be far more. According to officials, the rescue operation has been started by surrounded by bamboo and lattice of the circumference of the pond. Crocodiles are being planned to be safely grabbed and transferred to a river or large canal.
Ban on taking photos during rescue operation
Van Daroga Amit Kumar said that Ranger KK Jain has imposed a ban on taking any photo of the rescue operation. At the same time, the villagers Sonu told that water has not been extracted from the pond so far, due to which crocodiles have not come out. The villagers suspect that there may be more than two dozen crocodiles in the pond.
Security of villagers became a challenge
The jurisdictional city Amit Kumar Rai confirmed that the preliminary information had revealed the matter of two crocodiles, but the position of the spot turned out to be more serious. Now the team of high level forest department is engaged in rescue.
Crocodiles also seen in the field near the pond
Rajkumar, a young man from the village, said that about a dozen crocodiles were seen in the fields adjacent to the pond a day earlier. Due to which the farmers and villagers working there got nervous and informed the forest department. The actual number will be clear only after the rescue is completed.
Shikshamitra mourned the village due to death during duty
52 -year -old Shikshamitra Mahipal, who was on duty in a government school in Virampur village of police station Malavan area, died due to sudden deteriorating health. It is being told that they were closing the window, then suddenly fell on the ground. Fellow teacher Anand Veer tried to save them by giving CPR and called 108 ambulances, but by then it was too late.
Health workers reached the spot and declared Mahipal dead. Mahipal was originally from Turkipura Shah Alam village and was in service for years. His son Rupesh said that Dad had come to school as usual and suddenly fell. Police has sent the body for postmortem. Station in -charge Rohit Rathi said that the preliminary investigation fears a heart attack, but the confirmation will be done only after the report.
