Gorakhpur news: The ongoing possible campaign has had a good impact in the year 2021 to remove starvation, hair malnutrition. After the completion of four phases, 65 percent of the serious intense malnourished (Sam) children of the state have come to normal condition. While 16 percent of the children have come into the position of medium rapid malnourished children from the Sam situation. In such a situation, on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the fifth phase of the possible campaign has started from July 1. Which will last till September.
The Department of Child and Women’s Welfare has launched a special ‘Sambhav-5’ campaign to health pregnant women, breastfeeding women and highly malnourished children. There will be measures to health malnourished children under the campaign six months and seven times. It has targeted 16505 lactating women who are breastfeeding. Along with this, special watch will be kept on children between zero to six months. A special campaign is being run by the department on pregnant and very malnourished children with the joint efforts of Anganwadi workers and Asha.
4780 very malnourished children identified in Gorakhpur
According to data from the Child Development Department in Gorakhpur, there are 3 lakh 31 thousand 310 underweight children of five years from zero. Of these, the department has identified 4780 very malnourished children. The DPO says that a campaign has been launched six months and seven times to bring these children out of extreme malnutrition. Under this, Anganwadi workers and Asha will jointly reach the children twice a month. After checking the health, medicines will be given with necessary nutrition. Under this campaign, 19800 pregnant women will also be monitored. So that there is no lack of nutrition in the mother with a child in the womb.
Children’s health will be tested regular
DPO Abhinav Mishra says that Gorakhpur had a good performance in Sambhav-4. To improve this further, a campaign is being launched six months and seven times. Anganwadi and Asha will go twice a month to very malnourished children. It will also be mandatory for normal children to go once in every month. In Sambhav-5, efforts are being made to include Gorakhpur in the top 5 districts of the state. The official says that 16505 fiery women breastfeeding have been targeted by the department. Reaching them, necessary tips will be given to women with the check of the health of breastfeeding children. Asha sees any deficiency regarding health, then she will also be brought to health centers and treated. The health details of such women will also be uploaded on the e-catch platform of the Health Department. This allows regular checking of their health.
