Hamirpur: Maudaha Flooded for Over 72 Hours, Relief Efforts Fall Short as Residents Struggle with Hunger and Displacement | Hamirpur News: मौदहा में बाढ़ से हाहाकार जारी, 72 घंटे बाद भी नहीं मिली राहत; रात में बांटे गए लंच पैकेट

Hamirpur News: Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh: Even after more than 72 hours in Maudha area of Hamirpur district, no special relief has been found in flood -affected areas. Children, old and women who are struggling with divine disaster have risen from hunger and thirst. At the same time, lunch packets were distributed in the affected areas after 10 pm, which proved to be insufficient in front of the problems of the villagers. The contact of many villages is still cut off from the city, and people are forced to cross the river with the help of boats and bring maintenance materials for their family.

Torrential rains have a normal life busy

Recently, water released from dams and torrential rains in the area has broken the back of normal life. The process of falling houses continues due to flood water entering the residential areas. Lunch packets were distributed in villages like Ichauli Nayak Purva only after 10 pm, while people were hungry and thirsty for the day. Laraud’s Principal Representative Vishnu Shivhare said that the water level of the river seems to be decreasing, but so far no adequate relief material has been sent by the administration. People are still crossing the river with the help of boat and bringing essential items.

So far, more than a hundred villagers have been collapsed due to rain in the area. More than twenty meters of road has been cut due to the strong current of the Chandrawal river between the village Alipura and Chamarkhana, causing the contact of Chamarkhanna, Alipura and Bhavani villages to be completely cut off from the headquarters. Apart from this, the traffic here has come to a complete standstill due to the flow of Chandrawal river on the Maudha-Sisolar route, 10 meters above the village Padhori. Villagers of dozens of villages including village Gaharoli, Chhani, Leva, Cicolar, Tola, Garha and Parheta have to travel several kilometers to come to Maudha, which has become their compulsion.

Villagers struggling for basic needs

However, Tehsildar Shekhar Mishra has informed that the water level in flood-affected areas is gradually decreasing and relief material is being transported to the affected areas. However, the ground reality suggests that the villagers still do not have enough help, and they are struggling for basic needs.
