Kotputli-Bahrod. Without ‘Agristek Farmer ID’ (without ‘Agristek Farmer ID’) farmers’ insurance application will no longer be valid (will no longer be valid).
The Government of India has made a major change in the Pradhan Mantri Crop Insurance Scheme and the reorganized weather -based crop insurance scheme, making ‘Agrostake Farmer ID’ compulsory for non -indebted farmers. Now no e-Mitra operator, CSC center operator or other administrator will not be able to insure the partner in the name of another person. The order issued by the Additional Commissioner of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has clarified that it will be mandatory to enter ‘Agristek Farmer ID’ of non -indebted farmers while applying on the National Crop Insurance Portal. Without this ID, no non -indebted farmer can be insured.
The Agriculture Commissionerate of the Government of Rajasthan has sent clear instructions to all banks, insurance companies, e-friends and CSC centers of the state, implementing this order. The main objective of this decision is to stop the fraud in the crop insurance scheme. For the past few years, it has been seen that in many places the land of others was insured by putting an affidavit in the name of a divided farmer, which caused damage to the real farmer and misused the insurance amount.
Now the insurance application will not be valid without the ‘Agristake Farmer ID’, so that the insurance being made on the basis of fake documents will be effectively banned. The ministry has also clarified that farmers whose ‘Agrestake Farmer ID’ has not yet been made will have to register for ID first. Only then can their insurance application be uploaded on the portal. The farmers whose IDs have been formed by 8 July 2025 have been seeded on the NCIP portal.
