Sonbhadra News: Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh: Sonbhadra Police has achieved the third major success against drug trafficking within 24 hours. The first hemp and now a large consignment of English liquor is caught. Police have recovered 2153.52 liters of illegal English liquor (240 boxes) hidden in a secret box made in a container and arrested two inter -state smugglers. The estimated price of the recovered liquor is around 18 lakh rupees. This liquor was being taken from Punjab to Bihar.
Illegal English liquor recovered
According to the police spokesperson, a team was formed to monitor the smuggling of drugs on the instructions of Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena and supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police Headquarters Anil Kumar and the jurisdictional officer Pipri Amit Kumar. In the same sequence, on Sunday, the Pipri police received information that a container truck was passing through the Murdhwa-Rantola main road, in which the English liquor boxes were hidden in the secret box. On the basis of the information received, the police team stopped the container and searched, and 240 boxes filled with liquor were recovered, which had a total of 2153.52 liters of illegal English liquor bottles.
Jurisdictional Pipri Amit Kumar said that Ramdayal (son Sadaram, resident Gangala, Barmer, Rajasthan) and Raju Ram (son Varasiga Ram, resident of Bishnoio, Barmer, Rajasthan) were arrested from the spot. After interrogation, a case was registered against him at Pipri police station under Section 318 (4) BNS and 60/63/72 Excise Act. On the basis of interrogation of the accused, vehicle owner Kanti Bhai (son Udayasin Jala, resident Kheda, Gujarat) and Dinesh (Arvind) (son Pemaram, resident Chauhatan, Barmer, Rajasthan) have also been desired, teams have been formed to arrest them. 50 thousand rupees cash has also been recovered from the accused.

Alcohol was being taken from Punjab to Patna
According to the jurisdictional, the accused told during interrogation that the vehicle owner had brought them to a hotel in Punjab. It was to be taken from Punjab to Patna (Bihar). Throughout the way, the vehicle owner was in constant contact with him via phone. The arrested accused said that when they reached Patna, they had to be told where to deliver the goods. He said that there was a fear of being caught on going to Bihar directly via Chandauli, so he was using the route leading to Jharkhand via Sonbhadra. The team that achieved this success was led by Inspector Satyendra Kumar Rai and SI Rajesh ji Choubey (Outpost Incharge Renukoot).
Third big success of police
This is the third major success of the Sonbhadra police within 24 hours. A day earlier, on Saturday, Babhni and Myorpur police arrested two inter -state smugglers with a hemp worth Rs 31 lakh. The Babni police arrested Prakash Yadav, a resident of Ballia with a 16 lakh cannabis, while Mohammad Sartaj Khan and Mohammad Ashif Khan escaped. In this case, the devotee of Orissa was identified as a ganja vendor, Rana alias Raju of Orissa and Rajesh Sonkar of Kaushambi as a buyer. Similarly, the Myorpur police had recovered a ganja of about Rs 15 lakh in the forest of Babhandiha and arrested Raja Singh alias Kishan Singh, a resident of Ballia, while Shailesh Kumar Shah and Sameer Shah of Orissa were absconding. In all these cases the hemp seller and buyer’s wires have been found to be associated with the same syndicate, showing that the gang was involved in drug trafficking for a long time.
