Chandauli: Indefinite Protest Against Women Harassment in Forest Department to Begin July 22 | Chandauli News: चंदौली: वन विभाग में महिला उत्पीड़न के खिलाफ अनिश्चितकालीन धरना 22 जुलाई से

Chandauli News: Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh: A major movement is going to start against injustice and harassment with women employees within the forest department in Chakia range of Chandauli district. Indefinite dharna will be started in the Chakia Range office premises from July 22, under the leadership of Seema Kumari, the State Vice President of Women Cell of the Minimum Wage/Daily Salary Forest Employees Union.

Employees demand about reinstatement of Vandana Chauhan’s service

The main issue of this dharna is the restoration of Vandana Chauhan’s service. Vandana was employed in the Chakia range from the year 2022 in place of her late husband Sanjay Chauhan. Sanjay Chauhan was in service from 2006 to 2022 as a daily wage earner employee and Vandana was taken into service on human ground after his death due to illness. However, he was suddenly removed from the service a week ago, causing heavy anger among the employees.

Seema Kumari has clearly stated that this strike will continue till Vandana Chauhan and other expelled employees are re -employed. He alleged that the incident is a symbol of female harassment and the Sangh will not tolerate it at any cost.

The responsibility of the entire matter of the forest department

In this regard, the state vice -president submitted a letter to the State President, District Magistrate, Divisional Forest Officer, State President of IV State Employees Union and Regional Forest Officer of Chakia on 14 July. The letter warned that if the expelled employees are not withdrawn within a week, an indefinite dharna would be started from July 22, and the entire matter will be responsible for the forest department.

Other officials and employees of the Sangh will also participate in a large number of people, which is likely to be more effective in this indefinite strike. The state vice president says that this is not only a fight for an employee, but the rights of all daily bhogi employees, and they will not back down until justice is received.
