Lucknow News: The residents of the capital Lucknow will have to face big power cuts today. According to the information given by the Lesa administration, power supply will be stalled in many major areas of the city for about six hours on Monday. This inconvenience will be due to transformer and feeder repair work under the RDSS scheme. The administration said that the power supply will be temporarily prevented in New Campus, Hanuman Setu, Kamata, Mahanagar and Rajajipuram densely populated areas.
More than one lakh consumers will be upset
The purpose of this repair work is to make the power supply system more strong and reliable. However, due to this, more than one lakh consumers of the city may face problems in heat and other essential works throughout the day. The Lesa administration has appealed to the citizens to make necessary preparations in time, so that they do not get inconvenience during power cuts. The administration says that the necessary equipment like mobile phones, laptops, power banks should be prepared in advance.
Electricity will stop in future
Apart from this, it is advisable to deal with water storage, food preparation and other domestic needs in the morning. Under the RDSS scheme, improvement works are being done in several stages to make power supply technically better and more reliable in the whole of Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, works such as re-lineing of feeders, replacing old transformers and implementing new systems are being done so that people can get relief from electricity related problems in future.
Power cuts between 10 and 5 in the morning
Lesa officials said that there will be power cuts between 10 and 5 in the morning in the city’s New Campus, Hanuman Setu, Kamata, Mahanagar and Rajajipuram. During this time the repair work will be completed rapidly and safely, so that the power supply is restored soon. He has appealed people to maintain cooperation and restraint.
