Chitrakoot news: Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh: Babulal, a resident of Devkali village of Rapura police station area, has accused the police of a serious fraud by giving a complaint. He said that he and his wife had applied to the Land Conservation Department’s pond scheme, under which funds were sanctioned to them for digging the pond in private land. This money had also come in both accounts of both.

Case of money grabbing

But, a person from the village, who describes himself as a broker of the department, took them into a trap. The person told Babulal and his wife that his plan has been canceled and the money that came to the account should be deposited in the department, otherwise they may be jailed. The victim Babulal told that he and his wife came under the guise of the person and took out three lakh eighth thousand rupees (₹ 3,78,000) from their accounts and gave it to him. Later he came to know that his application was not canceled, but the person had grabbed money from him.

The victim has filed a case at the police station and demanded strict action against the accused. Babulal also told the police administration that he has been threatened several times by this domineering person of the village that if he does not sit silent, he will have to face serious consequences.

On this matter, the Rapura Police Station said that a thorough investigation will be conducted in the case and strict action will be taken against the culprits. At the same time, the officials of Kisan Union have also taken initiative to help this poor farmer. He met Chief Development Officer (CDO) Amritpal Kaur and kept the victim’s complaint. The CDO immediately directed the DD agriculture to investigate the case and submit its report within a week. The incident highlights the tendency of fraud and bullying with farmers in rural areas, which needs to keep a close watch on the administration.
