These traders also include criminal henchmen. In the holy month of Sawan, Thai Mangur fishes are being sold openly indiscriminately. The banned Thai, Mangur fishes, which are being sold indiscriminately in Shankarpur, Matera markets of Bahraich district are working to serve the disease among the people. The district is responsible for the fishes serving the illness in the markets, not even a little serious. Being cheap, the poor sections are consuming fish in large numbers. Due to this, the risk of serious diseases like cancer is increasing in it. The National Green Tribunal and the Government of India banned the sale and sales on the sale of Thai, Mangur fish in 2000, 24 years ago. The NGT believes that this fish lives by staying in contaminated water and mud from contaminated.
Apart from this, it also walks on the ground. Whereas due to lack of contaminated water and oxygen, other fish die. This fish contains high amount of iron and lead. Therefore, it is dangerous for both human society and aquatic environment. Not only this, in just three to four months, the weight of this fish turns from half a kilo to one kilo. The length can also range from three to five feet. While other fish take seven to eight months to get into this weight. Apart from this, the fish is carnivorous.
It also eats the meat of humans and by eating small fish and aquatic insects of the pond in which it is saved, the atmosphere of the pond spoils. Its sale was first banned in Kerala in 1998. In view of the disastrous results, the National Green Tribunal and the Government of India have also imposed a ban. Despite this, banned fish are being sold indiscriminately in different markets of Bahraich district. Departmental is responsible that they are not getting any time to stop it.
