In fact, these 29 villages included in the 2014 master plan were against connecting the corporation limit and the matter also reached the Supreme Court. But 29 villages not only joined the corporation limit, but after that three corporation elections were also completed and the number of wards also increased to 85. Now that the city is expanding rapidly and 79 villages have been included in the investment sector in the upcoming master plan. Therefore, some of these villages can also be included in the corporation limits, due to which the delimitation process will have to be done. However, the number of wards will remain the same, because more than 85 wards cannot be made, otherwise Indore will have to declare the metropolis duly. However, the government has also started the process of formation of Indore Metro Politon Authority. At the same time, elections of panchayats as well as urban bodies are to be held in 2027, which will also include Indore Corporation. The term of the current Corporation Council will be completed in 2027. Right now the State Election Commission has also sent a proposal to constitute the new delimitation commission to the government.
