Wards will be delimited before 2027 corporation elections

The boundaries of the panchayats will also be renewed, some villages in the investment sector will also come in the border, the old case will also be intervened after years.

Indore. Currently, on August 5, the CORPORATION COUNCIL of the current BJP is also going to celebrate the completion of its three -year term, in which the Chief Minister is also being invited. Actually, the city government has been occupied by the city government for the last 25 years, due to which it will celebrate Silver Jubilee. At the same time, due to the corporation elections to be held in 2027, the wards have to be delimited and the boundaries of the panchayats will also be decided, for which the commission will also be constituted.

Just yesterday, half a dozen petitions regarding 29 villages included in the Indore Corporation limit were pending in the High Court for the last 11 years. In fact, these 29 villages included in the 2014 master plan were against connecting the corporation limit and the matter also reached the Supreme Court. But 29 villages not only joined the corporation limit, but after that three corporation elections were also completed and the number of wards also increased to 85. Now that the city is expanding rapidly and 79 villages have been included in the investment sector in the upcoming master plan. Therefore, some of these villages can also be included in the corporation limits, due to which the delimitation process will have to be done. However, the number of wards will remain the same, because more than 85 wards cannot be made, otherwise Indore will have to declare the metropolis duly. However, the government has also started the process of formation of Indore Metro Politon Authority. At the same time, elections of panchayats as well as urban bodies are to be held in 2027, which will also include Indore Corporation. The term of the current Corporation Council will be completed in 2027. Right now the State Election Commission has also sent a proposal to constitute the new delimitation commission to the government. By the way, in view of the Lok Sabha-Vidhan Sabha elections, the delimitation of delimitation was also to be held, which later stopped. Along with this, a special commission was also constituted by the government to decide the boundaries of all the districts, tehsils and blocks of the state. But further work could not be done in this matter. There are a total of 10 divisions, 56 districts and 430 tehsils in the state, whose reports were to be sought from every division, tehsil, block level to set boundaries. In fact, Madhya Pradesh is the second largest state in the country in terms of area and has heavy discrepancies in its borders and in the last few years, new districts and tehsils were formed due to political pressure and electoral mathematics. Not only this, half a dozen and new districts are still being demanded by the public representatives of those areas in which Chachoda, Khurai, Bina, Junnardev, Manavar, Lavkush Nagar has also been demanded to make a district. At the same time, the Chief Minister has also said that people of Tola, Manjre, Panchayat have to travel up to 150 kilometers to reach the district division development block.
