Mathura news: On Sunday, District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh and Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar conducted a massive inspection of the Yamuna Ghats in view of the huge crowd of devotees on the occasion of Hariyali Teej festival. The two officials took stock of the situation of major ghats including Chir Ghat, Aarti Ghat, Keshi Ghat, Panchmukhi Ghat while boating in the Yamuna river through the boat.

During the inspection, the authorities reviewed the cleanliness of the ghats, security arrangements and arrangements made for the devotees in detail. Praising the cleanliness of the ghats, he instructed the Municipal Corporation and the concerned departments that there should be no dirt anywhere during the festival and regular cleaning should be ensured.

District Magistrate Chandra Prakash Singh inquired about the divers, water police and other security arrangements on the ghats. He gave clear instructions that divers should be kept fully alert to deal with any emergency and their presence should be ensured at every ghat. Along with this, orders were also given to keep the water police boats continuously patrolling.

Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar spoke to the officers and soldiers of the police force stationed at the ghats regarding the security arrangements and instructed them to be ready. He said that the safety of devotees is the highest priority, so vigilance should be taken at every level. He also said that special monitoring will also be done on the main routes of the city to keep the traffic system smooth.

At the end of the inspection, the two officials also took feedback from the local people and pilgrim priests and appealed for public cooperation to make the festival perform peacefully and systematically. This activeness of the administration has increased the trust of safety among the devotees and the festival of Hariyali Teej is expected to be celebrated with reverence and gaiety.
