Jhansi news: The Government Railway Police (GRP) and the sectional swot team have busted an interstate gang stealing motorcycle from Jhansi railway station. In this action, the master mind of the gang has been arrested while one of his companions is absconding. Five stolen motorcycles have been recovered from the accused, most of which were stolen from Jhansi railway station premises.
The action was taken under the direction of Additional Director General of Police Railway Prakash D, DIG Railway Sudha Singh, SP Railway Vipul Kumar Srivastava and under the supervision of CO GRP Sohrab Alam. The GRP and Swot team had received information that a suspected person is present with a stolen bike near the new-cabin located in the Delhi Outer area of Jhansi. The team took quick action and arrested the young man from the spot.
The arrested accused has been identified as Rahish Yadav, a resident of village Satlon under police station Basai of Datia (Madhya Pradesh). Five motorcycles including HF Deluxe, Hero Honda Passion, CD Don were recovered from him.
Accused confession:
During interrogation, Rahish said that he has been stealing the bike for the last two years. His financial condition is poor, so he used to run his expenses by selling stolen motorcycles. He has already lived in other jails including Bhopal and has several criminal cases registered.
