Ahmedabad family suicide: A very sad incident has come to light in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Where five members of the same family committed suicide by allegedly consuming poisonous substances. The dead include husband and wife, their two daughters and a son. As soon as the incident was reported, the police reached the spot and took the bodies and sent it for postmortem. The cause of mass suicide has not yet been ascertained. The police is investigating the case.

The SP of Ahmedabad Rural said that five members of the family committed suicide by drinking poisonous fluids in a rented house in Bawla. The cause of suicide is unknown. They were all originally from Dholaka. The deceased have been identified as Vipul Kanji Vaghela, his wife Sonal as his two daughters and a son.

On receiving information about the incident, Bagodara police and 108 emergency service immediately reached the spot. In view of the seriousness of the case, Superintendent of Police of Ahmedabad Rural, Local Crime Branch (LCB), Special Campaign Group (SOG) and Dhandhuka ASP also reached the spot. The bodies of all five dead have been sent to Bagodara Community Health Center for postmortem. At present, the police is engaged in a thorough investigation into the cause and developments of suicide.
