Ajit Pawar Called the decision to join nda correct, said- We are not saints, we are public representatives | Ajit Pawar told the decision to join NDA right, said

New Delhi . On Tuesday, on the occasion of the foundation day of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Deputy Chief Minister and NCP chief Ajit Pawar (Ajit Pawar) justified the party’s decision to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He said that it is not politics to sit in opposition only. He also said that he is not a saint to always sit in opposition and oppose the government.

Addressing a rally held at Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune, Ajit Pawar called upon the workers to start preparations for the upcoming municipal elections. He said, “Some people are questioning our decision to go to NDA that the ideology of NCP is secular. But in 2019, when the party formed the government with the Shiv Sena, the ideology was still compromised. Then why are we being blamed now?”

He further said, “We are not saints, but are public representatives. It is our responsibility to solve the problems of the people and it is necessary for him to stay in the government.”

Did not leave secular ideology
Ajit Pawar clarified that he has not changed his ideology. Junior Pawar said, “The foundation of our party rests on the ideology of Shahu Maharaj, Jyotiba Phule and Babasaheb Ambedkar. The purpose of joining the NDA is to speed up development works.” He also said that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are also included in the NDA, while his ideology is also considered secular.

Sharad Pawar dismissed speculation of merger from camp
Putting an end to the speculation of merger from the party’s Sharad Pawar camp (NCP-SP), Ajit Pawar said, “Some workers may have personal opinion, but no such decision has been made at the party leadership level.” Let us tell you that last week NCP state president Sunil Tatkare also denied any discussion on this issue in the party’s core group.

Signs of strictness on indiscipline
Ajit Pawar also showed a tough stand on criminal cases against some party leaders. He said, “We are in government, so we have to be more disciplined. If a worker is found to be involved in criminal or anti -social activities, he will not be spared.”

Significantly, this was the 26th Foundation Day of NCP, but after the party’s partition in 2023, Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar groups have started celebrating it separately.
