In the midst of this rage, a dangerous face of illegal weapons smuggling in the country has been hit by the UP STF team. It is not a small smuggler, but a member of the vicious gang who bought it from Munger in Bihar to Maharashtra. With this arrest, the interstate weapon network has been exposed, which has given sleep to the security agencies. The special thing is that the accused has so far sold hundreds of illegal weapons in different parts of the country.

Vicious smuggler arrested by Chitrakoot, STF’s big action

On July 15, the STF team got an input that a suspected youth is present with illegal weapons behind the railway station panel building of Manikpur police station area. The special team of UP STF laid siege on the spot and arrested the accused. The arrested accused has been identified as Mosesh Salvi son Daniel Salvi, resident Thane, Maharashtra.

Revolver, pistol and dozens of cartridges recovered from smuggler’s possession

During the arrest of the smuggler, a revolver (.32 bore), a pistol (.315 bore), 61 cartridges (.32 bore pistol/revolver), 9 cartridges (9mm), a cartridge (.315 bore), a mobile phone, Rs 1140, cash and a driving license have been recovered from his possession. This complete seizure is a clear indication that the accused not only used to buy and sell, but also gave delivery of weapons himself.

Used to supply goods from Munger, used to sell weapons in Mumbai

During interrogation, Moshesh confessed that he used to buy revolver from Bihar’s infamous weapon market Munger for 10 thousand and Tamancha for 2 to 2.5 thousand rupees. He used to sell them 40 thousand rupees per revolver in Mumbai and other cities of Maharashtra and Tamancha for 5 to 10 thousand. According to him, the price of 9mm cartridge was 3 to 4 thousand rupees and .32 bore cartridge was priced at 1500 to 2000 rupees. So far, he has supplied hundreds of illegal weapons and cartridges.

Several layers opened after arrest, on the verge of exposed large network

UP STF has filed a case against the accused under Section 3/7/25 of the Arms Act in police station Manikpur. Many suspicious contacts have been reported from his mobile investigation, which is confirming the roots of his network in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra. STF has been deeply involved in this matter. It is believed that this arrest will soon expose the roots of the entire network and there will be a big attack on the black business of weapons running in many parts of the country.
