Baghpat News: A heartbreaking incident came to light on Tuesday night in Rathonda village of Chhaprauli area of Baghpat district. Fed up with dowry harassment and mental harassment, 28 -year -old girl Manisha daughter Tejbir committed suicide by consuming poisonous substances. Before suicide, Manisha has written a suicide note on her body and described the atrocities and pain with her, which makes the matter even more serious.
According to the information, Manisha was married in the year 2023 with Hindu customs with Kundan son Kishan, resident of Siddhipur village in Gautam Budh Nagar district. A few months after the marriage, the in -laws started pressurizing Manisha to bring more things in dowry. It is alleged that Manisha’s husband and in -laws not only assaulted her, but also made her forcibly aborted when pregnant.
The victim’s father Tejbir said that he had brought his daughter from her in -laws to her maternal home in July 2024, but in spite of this, the in -laws’ side continued to demand a Thar car and cash money on the phone. When Tejbir talked about a break-up, about 20-25 people from the in-laws’ side reached his house four days ago. With mutual consent, it was decided that they would return all the wedding items and expenses. However, when it came to the paper process, Manisha clearly stated that she would not sign the divorce until dowry and expenses are repaid.
Manisha started living under deep tension
After this, Manisha started living under deep stress. On Tuesday night, when all the family members were asleep, Manisha gave her life by eating poisonous medicine kept in the wheat kept in the house. When mother Sunita reached her to wake her up on Wednesday morning, Manisha was found dead. Father Tejbir, working in MCD in Ghaziabad, was informed. He reached the village and informed the police. The police have taken the body in possession and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.
However, Chhaprauli police station in -charge Inspector Devesh Sharma said that so far no tahrir has been given at the police station by the family. He said that post -mortem of the deceased woman is being done and the police immediately reached the spot as soon as the information was received. Legal action will be taken on getting Tahrir. The incident is creating a complex situation between the preliminary investigation of the police and the allegations of family members.
