On this collective complaint of waterlogging in Shankar Nagar, the residents of the locality informed that a child has also died due to the doubling work a few days ago, which had created a lot of noise. This development work has been going on for several days, but the administration should have made primary arrangements to deal with waterlogging before the rains. The residents allege that the municipality takes out the budget every time and pretends to clean the choke drains of the locality, but a strong rains only reveal the truth of unplanned development and poor system. At present, DM Sahiba has assured to get rid of this problem after the rain.

In Shankar Nagar, where there is a problem of waterlogging in the rain due to railway doubling, in the city’s ward 16 (lake’s Purva/Devanagar), the contractor Pradeep Gupta alias Monu and ward member have been under the influence of a drain from June 4. This drain is 4.5 meters wide and boulder is to be made, but some encroachments could not be removed.
In this regard, a memorandum was given to the City Magistrate through the District Magistrate, but the municipality has not even got the measurement of the drain from a lighter accountant till date. On the other hand, due to rain, the drain lying in the rain is not only disrupting the drinking water supply connected to the main pipeline of about one hundred houses, but the surrounding raw road has also become hell for the residents.
