Barabanki News: Mohammad Gufran (son Mohammad Latif), a resident of Deva, Barabanki, died on Saturday night during tonsil surgery under suspicious circumstances. The deceased was admitted to Aastha Hospital in Nagar Kotwali area, where the operation was done at 7 am on Sunday. After Gufran’s death, the family created a ruckus in the hospital premises, accusing the doctors of serious negligence and treatment.
Family members say that the operation was done by Dr. Vivek Verma, an expert nose, ear and throat expert, but soon after the operation the patient’s condition started deteriorating. According to family members, Dr. Vivek Verma moved to Lucknow after the operation, while Gufran’s condition continued to deteriorate and he continued to bleed. When the family appealed to call the doctor, the hospital administration did not pay any attention to it.
Even after the death of the patient, the hospital administration hidden its information from the family members. When the family got the news of Gufran’s death, his anger erupted. He has demanded the doctor to register an FIR, accusing the doctor of murder, not of negligence. Family members say that they will not take the dead body until the case is filed.
