Big Decision Supreme Court Regarding Direct Recruitment and Promotion Employees for Sc-St Category

New Delhi. Taking a historic decision, the Supreme Court, taking a historic decision, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes (Scheduled Tribes) for the category, direct recruitment of employees and promoter (promotion) Policy) is applied. On June 24, all the employees of the Supreme Court were informed about this decision in a circular issued.

After the implementation of this system, the Supreme Court will have a direct recruitment of staff and 15 percent posts for SC category in promotion and 7.5 percent posts for ST category. This system has become effective from 23 June 2025. One thing here should also make it clear that this reservation is not for the judges, but this policy will apply to many positions like Registrar, Senior Private Assistant, Assistant Librarian, Junior Court Assistant and Chamber Attendant.

CJI Gavai had said that all government institutions and many High Courts already have a provision for reservation for SC and ST, so why should the Supreme Court be kept separate from it? We have supported positive action in many historical decisions and as an institution we should also implement it here. Our work should show our principles.

A circular was issued by the Supreme Court on 24 June regarding the new reservation policy. In this, all employees and registrars were told that the model reservation roster and register have been uploaded on the Supreme Court’s internal network ‘SUPNET’ and it has come under impact since 23 June. It has also been said in the circular that if someone sees any mistake or flaw in a roster or register, then send information to the registrar.

The model roster gives the post of Senior Personal Assistant, Posts of Assistant Librarian, Junior Court Assistant, Junior Court Assistant Cum Junior Programmer, Junior Court Attendant, Chamber Attendant, Senior Private Assistant, Assistant Librarian, Junior Court Assistant for direct recruitment policy. According to the policy, there will be 15% stake in SC category and 7.5% in employment positions for ST category.
