Bihar News: The special intensive revision (SIR) campaign being run by the Election Commission before the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar has increased the political corridors. On this issue, till now only the opposition was raising questions. At the same time, the voices of dissatisfaction are starting to rise from within the NDA. Which is considered to be a danger bell for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP.
Upendra Kushwaha’s party RLSP has openly objected to the SIR process. Kushwaha clearly stated that it is not possible to revise the voter list in the limited time given by the Commission. He claimed that the names of the migrant Bihari voters could be cut. Which will be against democracy.
Interestingly, the BJP itself is running a special campaign to connect these migrant voters living outside Bihar. Whose name is one Bharat Shrestha Bharat Sneha Milan. Through this program, the party wants to connect people who have moved to other states in the last few years. But they have the right to vote in Bihar. There are around 3 crore voters who can play a decisive role in more than 80 assembly constituencies.
However, if the migrant voters do not appear physically in their area in the current process of the Election Commission, then their names can be removed from the voter list. This apprehension has also created a situation of anxiety and confusion within the NDA. This can not only affect the BJP’s strategy, but the opposition has also got a new weapon to attack the ruling party.
RJD had called a conspiracy
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav and Congress had already called the campaign a hidden conspiracy. He said that through this, select classes can be denied the right to vote. Now that the NDA colleagues are also raising questions, the pressure on the Election Commission has increased to ensure transparency and accountability.
