New Delhi: Violence took place during the protests over the Waqf law in Murshidabad district of West Bengal. The Calcutta High Court had formed a three -member committee to investigate the case, which submitted its report. Now the Bharatiya Janata Party has held a press conference on this matter on Wednesday. The BJP has accused the Trinamool Congress that Hindus were selectively targeted during the violence.
BJP leader Sudhanshu Trivedi said in the press conference, “TMC, India coalition and secularism have been masked with the face of the alleged champions. Those who used to say that what is needed to fight Pakistan, only the terrorists should take action, no one of them said that what is the need to commit violence against Hindus.”
Sudhanshu Trivedi said in the press conference, TMC had tried to campaign that it included outsiders. The name of TMC leader and MLA has been revealed in the report. It says that from 2 pm on April 11, violence took place on the instructions of local councilor Mehboob Alam and the police and administration did nothing. 113 houses were demolished, people had to be alienated to migrate. When the people of the village pleaded for help, the police did nothing.
