BJP moving towards Dalit president to break vote bank of the opposition UP 2027 Election | दलित अध्यक्ष की ओर बीजेपी? विपक्ष के वोट बैंक में सेंध लगाने की तैयारी, बदल जाएगा 2027 में UP का समीकरण

UP BJP President Dalit Leader: The BJP is currently looking for the UP BJP president. For this, a list of six names has also been sent to the central leadership, in which a decision will be taken in two weeks. In this list, two names are from the Brahmin community, two names from OBCs and two Dalit communities. If we look at the list of last UP BJP presidents, till now the BJP has made the most president from the Brahmin community, then from the OBC. In such a situation, if the BJP chooses the name of the president from the Dalit community this time, then it can see a big impact on the politics of UP and the assembly elections to be held in the beginning of 2027.

First see a list of 6 names for UP BJP President

The BJP includes the names of Dinesh Sharma and Harish Dwivedi from the Brahmin community. Dinesh Sharma is former Deputy Chief Minister and educationist and leader of clean image, while Harish Dwivedi has been a former MP and National Secretary of the party.

BJP from OBC category included the names of Dharampal Singh, and BL Verma. Dharampal Singh is a senior minister and experienced leader in the Uttar Pradesh government, while BL Verma is the Union Minister of State and a trusted leader of the union.

The BJP further added the names of Ramshankar Katheria and Vidya Sagar Sonkar from the Dalit community. Ramshankar Katheria is a former Union Minister and leader of the Hindutva image, while Vidya Sagar is a strong hold leader in MLC and eastern UP.

Advantage of making president from Dalit community

The population of the Dalit community in UP is about 21-22%. It is a big vote bank, which has been traditionally believed by BSP (Bahujan Samaj Party). In such a situation, if the BJP makes the president for the first time from the Dalit community, then it wants to give a clear message that the party cares equally about the Dalit interests. This can move the BSP’s vote bank and increase the acceptance of BJP in Dalit youth and middle class.

Will the opposition’s strategy be weak?

The opposition in UP, especially the Samajwadi Party and the BSP, had earlier adopted the strategy of Dalit and OBC alliances. But if this time the BJP makes Dalits president apart from Brahmin and OBC class, then it will be considered a strategy of social balance. This can also dismiss the opposition’s allegations of casteist politics of the opposition. At the same time, confidence in the BJP will increase in the Dalit community, which can weaken the alliance.

Dalit face, but strong leadership essential

BJP has chosen Dr. Ramshankar Katheria and Vidya Sagar Sonkar from the Dalit community. Katheria has served in high -level national positions and performs more outspoken politics, which is considered more influenced by them. He is also a big Dalit face of UP BJP. At the same time, the effect of Vidya Sagar Sonkar at the ground level, especially in East UP, is deep. In view of the upcoming elections, if the BJP chooses a Dalit leader, it will do it in view of aspects like a strong hold in the organization, popularity among the public and RSS.
