Britain and America offered cooperation in investigation over Ahmedabad aircraft accident


London . Britain and America (Britain and America) offered cooperation in the investigation (Offer Cooperation in Investigation) regarding Ahmedabad plane crash. The UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) said in an official statement that it has formally offered assistance to the Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation of India and will participate in the investigation under expertise.

The statement said, “We are sending a multi-disciplinary investigation team to cooperate in the ongoing investigation in India. The step has been taken under Article 13 of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), as the British citizens were riding. Our condolences are with all the people affected by this tragic incident.”

“AAIB will send a team to cooperate in the investigation in India under the ongoing support from Britain in connection with today’s tragic incident,” British Transport Minister Hyde Alexander said on the social media platform X. I am constantly monitoring the developments and my condolences are with all the victims and their families. ” The British High Commission, along with the local administration in India, has started efforts to collect information about the situation and provide assistance to the affected. FCDO has also issued a helpline number for consular assistance to British citizens.

The US Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) also said on the incident that it is ready to provide technical support in the investigation of the accident in India and is ready to send a team in collaboration with the National Transport Safety Board (NTSB). The FAA said, “When an international aircraft accident occurs, the government of that country leads the investigation. If cooperation is sought, NTSB is an authorized representative from the US and FAA gives technical support. We are ready to send the team in coordination with NTSB.”

Civil Aviation Minister of India Ram Mohan Naidu said that after the tragic incident in Ahmedabad, a formal inquiry has been initiated by the Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation, in line with the International Protocol determined by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). In addition, the government is formed a high -level committee with experts in various subjects to investigate the case. The committee will work to strengthen aviation security and prevent such incidents in the future. It was reported that in the event of serious accidents, a field team is sent on the spot, which examines the black box (flight data recorder), cockpit voice recorder etc. The preliminary report of such cases is released within three months.
