Chandauli News: The joint team of Alinagar Police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) in Chandauli district has achieved great success against illegal liquor smuggling on Thursday. As part of a joint operation, the police have arrested six smugglers, including four women and two men. 55 liters of illicit liquor has been recovered from their possession, the estimated price of which is said to be around one lakh rupees.

Police Officer (CO) PDDU Nagar Krishna Murari Sharma said that the police team and RPF under the leadership of Inspector Vinod Kumar Mishra, in -charge of Alinagar police station, had received information from the informer. According to the information, some people are present with a consignment of illegal liquor near the railway bridge in Loco Colony. On this information, the police team took quick action and laid siege and caught all the six smugglers from the spot at around 3.10 pm.
This found in search
During the search, two pitta bags and four bags were recovered from the smugglers. These bags and bags were filled with 204 pouch blue lime indigenous liquor (each 200ml), 55 pouches officer Choice (each 180ml), and 15 pouches 8 PM (each 180 ml). In total, 55 liters of illicit liquor was seized. According to the police, this liquor was being brought to sell in Bihar province, where its price has been estimated at around one lakh rupees.
They were arrested
The arrested accused have been identified as Ritesh Kumar (resident Dehri, Rohtas, Bihar), Rajiv Kumar (resident Bakhtiyarpur, Patna, Bihar), Santoshi Devi (resident Barun, Aurangabad, Bihar), Lilavati Devi (resident Dehri, Rohtas, Bihar), Kusum (resident Barun, Aurangabad, Bihar), and Radhika Devi (Resident Barun, Aurangabad, Bihar).
Police is investigating the network
A case under Section 60 of the Excise Act has been registered against all these accused at Alinagar police station. The police is now investigating who more people are involved in this illicit liquor smuggling and where the network of this gang is spread. In this action, Inspector -in -charge Vinod Kumar Mishra, Sub -Inspector Anil Kumar Yadav, Constable Pravesh Singh, Constable Poonam Yadav, women constable Sunidhi Singh and RPF team women sub -inspectors Sarita Gurjar, Sub -Inspector Prabhunath Rai, Women Constable Rashida Bano and Constable Prince Kumar were involved.
