Chandauli News: The police carried out a whip of action late this evening on those who drunk alcohol in public places in Naugarh market of Chandauli district. In the campaign led by Naugarh police station in -charge Govind Singh, 10 people who were found openly consumed openly were arrested and legal action was taken against them. This intensive campaign of the police caused panic in the market, while the common man has breathed a sigh of relief.
Action during late evening patrolling
According to the information received, Naugarh police station in -charge Govind Singh was on regular patrol in the area late Friday evening. During the patrolling, some people were found consuming liquor in the open at many places in Naugarh market. In view of the possibility of disturbance in a state of intoxication in a public place, the inspector in -charge decided to take immediate action.
Challan under Section 290
The police team took 10 persons present on the spot who were openly drinking alcohol. Action has been taken against all of them under Section 290 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). All the accused have been challaned. According to police sources, such action will continue in future also so that those who disturb the public peace can be tightened.

The Naugarh police has given a clear message through this action that those who drink peace or spoil the atmosphere will not be spared by drinking alcohol in public places. Inspector -in -charge Govind Singh said that the police will keep a close watch on such activities in the entire police station area including Naugarh market and strict action will be taken as per rules. He has also appealed to the public to immediately inform the police of any person who is consuming drugs in public place or disturbing peace.
