Chandauli News: East Central Railway has shown strictness against passengers stopping trains without any reasonable reason. Under the special campaign “time rearing” conducted by the Railway Protection Force (RPF), between June 15 to June 30, 2025, 612 people were detained who illegally pulled chain. This action was taken with the aim of preventing unnecessary delay of trains. Legal action has been taken under Section 141 of the Railway Act on those caught. During this period, the maximum number of 327 chain pulling cases came up in Danapur division, while 136 people were arrested in Samastipur, 64 in Sonpur, 40 in Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Mandal and 45 in Dhanbad division.

Safety of women paramount, 1176 male passengers caught in ‘Mahila Suraksha’ campaign

Railway administration is also fully cautious about the safety of women. In the same sequence, a special rage campaign was also conducted against male passengers traveling unauthorized in women coaches under Operation “Women Suraksha”. Under this campaign, in the same period (15 June to 30 June 2025), the Railway Protection Force detained 1176 male passengers. Action has been taken against these passengers under Section 162 of the Railway Act. In this case too, the maximum number of 420 male passengers were caught in Danapur division, while 342 male passengers were arrested in Dhanbad division, 275 in Sonpur division, 78 in Samastipur division and 61 male passengers in Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Mandal. This clear message has been given by the East Central Rail that the railway will continue further action to ensure the safety of passengers and the operation of trains on time.
