Chandauli News: The Chandauli police has made significant changes in the traffic system in view of the holy occasion of Shravan month and the upcoming Gupta Dham walk. These changes have been made with the aim of ensuring the safety of devotees and ordinary citizens and make traffic facilitated. The Shravan month will start from July 11, 2025 to August 9, 2025, while the Gupta Dham walk will be held on August 11, 2025.
No-entry zone for heavy vehicles
The traffic police has completely banned the movement of heavy and cargo vehicles on some specific routes. These routes include Chandsi -Dulhipur to Ramnagar bypass, Ramnagar bypass to Kataria, Pachfedwa Kat Alampur to Alinagar Sakaldiha Tiraha and Sakaldiha -Alleenagar to Pachfedwa. Additionally, the movement of light, medium and heavy vehicles from Godhana intersection to Chakia Tiraha will also be banned. All the vehicles diverted from Chakia Tirahe will be sent to Godhana intersection, while vehicles coming from PAC Tirahe will be diverted from Cataria to National Highway-19.
Special traffic ban from Saturday to Tuesday
For the convenience of Kanwar passengers during the Shravan fair, the no-entry rules will be applicable every Saturday from 8 pm to 6 am on Tuesday. In addition, in view of Shravan Shivaratri (23 July 2025), traffic restrictions will be effective from 6 am to 10 am on July 22 to 10 am on July 24 and Gupta Dham walk (11 August 2025) from 8 pm on August 9 to 12 am on August 12 to 6 am on August 12.
Supply of essential goods will continue
Despite these restrictions, vehicles with food grains and other essential commodities will be allowed to move according to the situation. It will be ensured that the general public has no problem in availability of goods of daily needs.
The Chandauli police have requested all citizens to follow the traffic rules and cooperate in making the journey of Kanwar passengers safe and easy. The objective of these orders issued by the police is to conduct the Shravan month and Gupta Dham Yatra in a peaceful and systematic manner.
