Chandauli News: Chandraprabha Dam in Naugarh region, which usually remains a center of attraction for nature lovers and picnic, witnessed a painful accident on Sunday. Riyaz, a 22 -year -old youth, a resident of Jaitpura in Varanasi, who came here for a picnic with his friends, suddenly drowned in deep water in the dam. According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred in the afternoon when the Riyaz slipped while walking on the banks of the Dam and uncontrollably fell into the water. Friends tried their best to save him, but they could not succeed due to high depth.
On receiving information about the incident, Naugarh Police Station Ramesh Yadav reached the spot with his team. Rescue operations were launched with the help of local divers. However, the young man could not be detected until the news was written. There is obstruction in relief work due to darkness and depth of water. The family was seen mourning at the scene and there is an atmosphere of mourning and shock in the entire area.
