Chandauli News: A horrific road accident occurred on Alsubah National Highway-19 near Savaiya village under Syedaraja police station area of Chandauli district. The high speed ballast -laden dunfer going towards Bihar hit the truck standing strongly from behind. The collision was so tremendous that the front part of the dunfar was badly damaged and its driver got stuck in the cabin.
According to eyewitnesses, the speed of the dunfar was quite high and his number was sooty on the plate, making it difficult to identify him. Hearing the sound of the collision, the people nearby reached the spot and immediately informed the police. Shortly after, the Syedaraja police team reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
On receiving the information of the incident, the helpline team of NHAI also reached the spot immediately and started the rescue work. The help of crane and cutter is being taken to take out the seriously injured driver trapped in the cabin. The rescue team is constantly trying to take the driver out safely.
The police is currently investigating the incident. Initial investigation has revealed that the dunfar was being run at a high speed and a soot vessel was given on the number plate to hide his identity. Traffic on the highway was affected for some time due to the accident.
