This news spread like a fire throughout the area and on seeing this, a huge crowd of devotees thronged the spot. In the holy time of Shravan month, people have started worshiping with deep faith, considering the appearance of Shivling as a miracle.
According to the information, construction work of a madrasa was going on in the village. During the excavation of the foundation, a stone Shivling came out from within the soil, which the workers were also shocked to see. As soon as the information about the Shivling came out, people from the village and surrounding areas started reaching the spot in large numbers. Devotees are offering water on the Shivling, offering flowers and worshiping, and doing bhajan-kirtan, which has created a devotional atmosphere in the entire region.
In view of the sensitivity of the opportunity, the police administration immediately came into action. Along with Alinagar police station, administrative officers also reached the spot. A heavy police force has been deployed to maintain law and order in the area. The police are keeping an eye on every activity with vigil, so that no rumor or controversy spread and the situation remains under control.
Demand for survey from Archaeological Department
After this incident, the villagers have demanded a survey from the Archaeological Department. He says that the place from which the Shivling has come out can be of historical importance. The villagers have also demanded that the place be declared as a religious place of Shiva and the construction work of the madrasa should be stopped immediately until the Archaeological Survey is completed. The appearance of Shivling in the holy time of Shravan month remains a matter of special discussion among the people. Many devotees consider it to be “blessings of Bhole Baba”.
