Gorakhpur News: On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations to create a new record of plantation in the whole of Uttar Pradesh on July 9 are going on a war footing. The CM has set an ambitious target of 37 crore saplings in the state in a single day. It is expected that after attending plantation programs in Ayodhya and Azamgarh, the Chief Minister will come to Gorakhpur on the evening of 9 July and plant here, which will give further momentum to this campaign.
Gorakhpur division’s significant contribution
Gorakhpur division will contribute a lot in making records by achieving this huge goal. The four districts of Gorakhpur division – Gorakhpur, Maharajganj, Deoria and Kushinagar – have been given the responsibility of planting more than 1 crore 68 lakh saplings. Under the supervision of the Forest Department, more than two dozen departments will fulfill this big responsibility with public participation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has dedicated the theme ‘A tree mother’s name’ on 2025, the plantation Maha Abhiyan on 2025. Setting the goal of plantation with this theme, he himself has reviewed the preparations by meeting several times. On his guidelines, not only different departments have been given target responsibility, but initiative is also being taken for widespread public participation. Along with the forest department in Gorakhpur division, all those departments have also completed preparations to achieve their allotted plantation targets.
