New Delhi. Corona vaccine is not the cause of death due to heart attack. In the monsoon session 2025 on the increasing heart attack cases in the country, the Modi government responded. In fact, there has been serious concern in Parliament about the sudden death of youth in the country and increasing cases of heart attack. In the Lok Sabha, Shiv Sena (Uddhav faction) MPs Arvind Ganpat Sawant and Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh asked Health Minister JP Nadda whether there has been a rapid increase in heart attack cases in the last 5 years in the country? If there is an increase, what are the reasons behind this?
Both MPs in the Lok Sabha also asked the Health Minister whether the Modi government has conducted any study in the increasing cases of heart attack? Has any public awareness campaign started? Has the government provided special facilities or arrangements for rural and deprived people? Responding to the questions of MPs, the government cited 2 Scientific Studies conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC). In both these studies, the youth have been illuminated on the increasing cases of heart attack and the causes of sudden deaths.
The National Institute of Epidemiology (NIE) of ICMR made a multisaver case-control study for sudden deaths in people aged 18–45 years. In the study, a research was conducted in 19 states/union territories. Research included 47 hospitals. 729 cases of sudden deaths recorded in these hospitals were studied. Research also included 2916 healthy persons. Research made it clear that the corona vaccine is safe.
Corona vaccine has reduced the risk of death to a great extent. Those who had to be hospitalized during the Korona period. Those who had a history of death in the family, who took alcohol or drugs or physical activity 48 hours ago, were more likely to have a sudden death. Hence Corona vaccination is not the cause of death.
The second study was done by AIIMS in New Delhi. AIIMS did research to find due to sudden death. Research concluded that myocardial infarction is the biggest reason for increasing the rate of death in youth. Compare the time before and after the Korona epidemic, there is no significant change in the pattern of the causes of death.
