Schools Bomb Threat: Five schools in the capital Delhi received threats to blow up once again on Wednesday morning, causing a stir among the security agencies. As soon as the threats were received, the concerned schools were evacuated as a precautionary measure and teams of police, bomb disposal squad and fire brigade reached the spot and started a search operation.

Threatening schools include St. Thomas School in Dwarka, Vasant Valley School of Vasant Kunj, Mother’s International School at Hauz Khas, Richmond Global School at West Vihar and Sardar Patel School of Lodi Estate.

No suspicious item found, search continues

According to media reports, no suspicious item has been recovered from any school premises so far. However, intensive search of all schools is being conducted and the campus has been kept vacant until the investigation is completed.

Constant threats in three days, increased concern

In the last three days in Delhi, about 10 schools and one college have received similar threatening emails. On Tuesday, St. Stephen’s College of Delhi University and St. Thomas School in Dwarka were threatened with bombs. In the mail, it was said that RDX and IED were kept. On Monday, Navy Children’s School in Chanakyapuri and CRPF School in Dwarka also received similar threats.

Each time the dog squad and the bomb disposal squad reached the spot and conducted a thorough search operation, but no explosives were found, after which it was described as a fake threat (Hawks).

Police is investigating seriously

Senior Delhi Police officials say that all the threats are being taken seriously, and the help of cyber cell is being taken to identify the email sender. Police said that it can also be a part of mischief or any conspiracy, which is being investigated for every aspect.

Constant threats have been worried about students studying in schools in Delhi, their parents and staff. Although quick action by police and security agencies has given relief, the matter is now demanding an inquiry towards cyber terraism.
