- Entrance Exam: For admission in this course Gate (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Score of score is necessary, especially CS (Computer Science) or DA (Data Science & AI) paper. Some universities also provide admissions on the basis of CFTI mode (GATE) or their university-level examinations for IIT graduates.
- Merit-based admission: Some private colleges also provide merit-based admission on the basis of marks of BE/B.Tech.

The following is the process of admission in M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence:
- Fill up the application form: To get admission, the application form has to be filled, if the admission is being done through the entrance examination, then fill the form of the examination accordingly, otherwise fill the college form on the basis of numbers and upload the documents sought.
- Entrance Exam: If GATE (CS or DA paper) or university-level entrance exam is necessary for admission, then they have to appear in them.
