Etah News: Etah – Kotwali Nagar Police has recently issued a press release claiming to arrest the accused in a robbery case within 24 hours. Also, out of the robbed of Rs 1000 out of Rs 1700 and information was given to the accused to be sent to jail. It was publicized by the police as a “commendable work”, but when the ground reality was investigated, the matter was seen something else.
On 4 July 2025, the incident was going to Etah Kachari on the court date with his companions Anmol and Deepak, resident of Nasirpur police station, Nasirpur police station, Ranapratap, on 4 July 2025. Around 12:45 pm, Aditya son Rakesh and his other colleagues near Aliganj Chungi stopped the way and abused, beat and looted mobiles and Rs 1700 from the victim’s pocket. In this regard, a case was registered under Mudh No. 350/25 Section 115 (2), 324 (4), 309 (4), 352 BNS in this regard.

The Kotwali Nagar police said in the release that the accused Aditya was arrested within 24 hours with cash of Rs 1000. The arrest team included three police personnel including Inspector -in -charge Amit Kumar Tomar and Sub Inspector Mohit Sharma. It was promoted as “great success” and “good work”.
But what is the real story?
According to the victims, the accused himself was caught by the victim and handed over to the police, not the police searched and arrested him. Despite this, the police issued a press release after 24 hours and showed it as its achievement. This information is clearly talked about in the white given by Anmol. At the same time, other accused involved in the incident are still absconding, and the police is not able to take any concrete action regarding their arrest.
Earlier, the victim also accused the police of changing Tahrir and suppressing the case. The police registered a case only after the intervention of the media.
