Bahraich News: Surprise raids were conducted on the establishments of fertilizer vendors under the leadership of District Agriculture Officer Dr. Subedar Yadav in Nawabganj, Babaganj and Rupaidha areas of Bahraich district. During the inspection, many shopkeepers closed shops and escaped from the spot. In this action, the license of four shops was suspended with immediate effect.
List of suspended shops
India Traders, Noori Square, Nawabganj
Yadav compost seed store, Noori intersection, Nawabganj
Putan Manure Store, Nawabganj
Patel Manure Seed Stores, Hariharpur Chaudhawa
All these shops were found closed at the time of inspection and their license was suspended due to suspicious activities.
Strict instructions and warnings
The District Agriculture Officer has warned all the fertilizer vendors that:
All vendors should sell only by checking the Aadhaar card and Khatauni through the e-pos machine.
Fertilizer should be sold at the price fixed by the government.
Stock register, distribution register, and information of buyers should be updated daily.
Capnation of legal action
If by a seller: unlicensed fertilizer was sold, fertilizer black marketing, or suspected fertilizer sales, then strict action will be taken against him under fertilizer control order 1985, circulatory control order 1973 and the required Commodities Act 1955.
Appeal to farmers
Dr. Yadav has urged all farmers to lodge a complaint in the District Agricultural Officer’s Office if an unlicensed or suspected fertilizer is being sold in any area. On the basis of the complaint, action will be taken as per rules.
