Gonda news: A shocking case has come to light from the Itiathok police station area of Gonda district, where a young man became so frustrated by the recovery of his missing wife and not getting justice that he has sought permission from the District Magistrate to death. The young man alleges that his wife has been driven away by a Mahant’s son and now the same woman is threatening her on the phone.
According to the information received, Rudapur (Babupur) resident Anil Kumar Pandey’s wife suddenly went missing on 29 April 2025. When no clue was found on the search, the family lodged a missing person at the Itiathok police station. Anil also handed over the phone call details and other evidence to the police, which deepened the suspicion that Anand Das, son of Mahant of Hanuman temple in Rudapur, was seduced.
The woman threatens on the phone
Anil alleges that the woman threatens her over the phone that if she tried to trap Anand Das, it would have to bear serious consequences. The victim says that despite all the evidence existing with the police, no concrete action is being taken, on the contrary it is being humiliated.
Distressed by this injustice, Anil submitted a written application to DM Neha Sharma and demanded a will. He wrote in the application that he was mentally broken and if justice is not found, then his life is meaningless.
This case is becoming a living example of the inaction of the police and misconduct of the victims. The victim is now planning to plead for justice from the Chief Minister to the National Human Rights Commission.
