Gujarat Ats Arrested 4 Terrorists Linked Al Qaeda

New Delhi. The Gujarat Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) has achieved a major success on Wednesday. The ATS has arrested 4 terrorists associated with Al-Qaeda in Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). The action was taken in different parts of Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Gujarat (Delhi and Gujarat), in which Mohammad Faiz, Mohammad Fardeen, Safullah Qureshi and Zeeshan Ali have been detained. Gujarat ATS had received secret information about the terrorists after which their house is nabbed. Terrorists are being questioned. More arrest is possible in this case.

The Gujarat ATS reported that the suspects were active in radical activities for a long time. Also connected to al-Qaeda’s digital network. Investigation has revealed that these people were trying to spread fundamentalism by forming groups on WhatsApp and other platforms and were engaged in connecting others with terrorist ideology.

The Gujarat ATS says that these terrorists were also associated with the fake Indian currency (FICN) network. Fake notes and digital evidence have been recovered from a suspect arrested from Arvalli district. It is believed that this module was using fake notes in terrorist funding. The operation was carried out under the leadership of ATS DIG Sunil Joshi.

Gujarat ATS arrested three terrorists from Delhi and UP, while the fourth terrorist was arrested from Aravalli district of Gujarat. The arrest is the result of the long -running intelligence monitoring by the ATS. Gujarat ATS has earlier arrested suspects associated with terrorist organizations.

In June 2023, terrorists caught from Porbandar were found to be associated with the Islamic State of Khorasan Province (ISKP). In such cases, the continuous vigil of ATS is being tightened on terrorist conspiracies in the state. Currently all the arrested terrorists are being interrogated and their network, funding sources and potential sleeper cells are being investigated. According to ATS sources, more arrests may occur in the coming days.
