Haapur News: The Hapur district administration has taken major action against the black marketing of the subsidized fertilizers received by the farmers. On the instructions of District Magistrate Abhishek Pandey, licenses of four fertilizer seller firms of the district have been revoked and an FIR has also been lodged against them. These firms are accused of not only violating the rules by selling subsidized fertilizers in Delhi and other districts, but also played with the interests of the farmers.

Investigations conducted by the administration revealed that these firms had sent a total of 42 metric tonnes of subsidized fertilizers – including neem coated urea, DAP and other fertilizers – illegally sent out of the district. These fertilizers were prescribed only for the farmers of the district, but these firms ignored the rules and sold them at other places at high prices.

The names of the firms whose licenses have been revoked are as follows:

I Durga Trading Company (Private Wholesaler)

I Durga Trading Company (Private Retailer) (Proprietor of both: Vikas Kumar Aggarwal)

I Chetan Prakash & Company (Private Wholesaler)

I Sai Trading Company (Private Retailer) (Proprietor of both: Vivek Aggarwal)

District Magistrate Abhishek Pandey clarified that it is the priority of the administration to provide farmers on time, at a reasonable price and quality fertilizer. He said that strict legal action will be taken against whichever seller or firm will try to obstruct this system. He also indicated that other firms would also be monitored in future and if any guilty is found, strict steps will also be taken against him.

After this action of the administration, fertilizer traders have been stirred up in the district, while farmer organizations have welcomed this decision. He says that for a long time some firms were working to rob the farmers by doing black market of subsidized fertilizers. Now this action of the administration will ensure transparency and farmers will get their rights.
