Haapur News: Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: A very painful accident occurred on Friday in Bhikanpur village of Babugarh area of Hapur district. Due to continuous rains and the weak beam of the house, the house of a poor family suddenly collapsed. A total of six people, including four innocent girls, were buried in the debris in this accident. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and with the help of the villagers, all the injured were taken out of the rubble and sent to the hospital. A child, Namra alias Nimra (9), died during treatment.
Accident occurred due to weak house breaking
According to the information, Shehzad, the head of the victim’s family, was living in the house with his mother Tohir, wife Farhana (30), and two daughters Mahim (6) and Rida (4). All were present in the house on Friday afternoon due to rain. At the same time, neighbor Manan’s daughter Namra alias Nimra (9) and Yasin’s daughter Arshi (10) also came to her house to play.
During this time, Farhana went to bind the animals to save them from the rain. Meanwhile, the weak beam of the house broke, causing the entire house to collapse. In this horrific accident, Shahzad, his wife Farhana, daughters Mahim and Rida, and two girls from the neighborhood Nimra and Arshi were buried in the rubble.
As soon as the information of the accident was received, the nearby villagers reached the spot and immediately informed the police. The police, showing readiness, started relief work with the villagers. All the injured were taken out of the rubble and taken to the nearest hospital, where Nimra died during treatment. Treatment of other injured continues.
On receiving information about the incident, several senior officials including ADM Sandeep Singh, SDM Eela Prakash and ASP Vineet Bhatnagar reached the village and went to the hospital and met the victim’s family. The authorities have assured all possible assistance to the victim’s family. The ADM said that the investigation of the reasons for the fall of the house has been started and all possible help will be provided by the administration. The incident underlines the need for repairing old and weak structures in rural areas, especially during the rainy season.
